Purpose of role

Responsible for overseeing field execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards through stage-wise inspections, coordinating with contractors and consultants for timely issue resolution, managing material requirements and supporting procurement for on-time availability, while driving project management practices to achieve cost, time, and quality objectives.

KEY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review and validate engineering designs and drawings submitted by consultants, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Interpret civil and structural drawings for site execution and ensure accuracy in earthwork, levelling, compaction, and survey operations.
• Oversee construction of foundations and structures, including RCC, heavy dynamic foundations, substructures, and superstructures.
• Manage infrastructure works such as internal roads, stormwater drainage, underground utilities, and compound walls.
• Supervise building works including RCC buildings, utility structures, industrial PEB sheds, and finishing activities.
• Execute civil works for industrial structures like ETP/STP tanks, sumps, tunnels, and heavy equipment foundations.
• Conduct stage-wise QA/QC inspections, cube testing, and ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants for timely issue resolution, measurements, and preparation of Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
• Independently calculate material requirements from drawings and support procurement for timely material availability.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or M.Tech in relevant discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction processes, and material specifications, with preferred knowledge of mechanical structures and familiarity with project management practices.
• Familiarity with quality assurance practices and stage-wise inspection protocols.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and performing material take-offs.
