Senior Team Executive - Global Raw Material Blending & Analytics

Position Title: Asst. Mgr / Manager - Global Raw Material Blending & Analytics

Location: Hyderabad, India

Department: Production Planning – Calcination

Reports To: AGM – Raw Material Blending & Analytics

Key Responsibilities:

• Integral part of global production planning function at Hyderabad, India, which integrates and controls raw material blend plans across the USA and India calcining operations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining optimal blend schedules and recipes for pet coke blending feed to calcination plants & review blend plans vs actual on weekly basis
• Monitor GPC inventories to ensure that the optimum set of raw materials are available for use to meet production blend plans. Deliver monthly reports on production schedules vs actual, GPC inventories & Quality. Maintain accurate records of production activities and inventory levels. 
• Monitor calcination unit production rates against plan and take action to manage petcoke inventory to align with changing pipeline schedules. Ensure accuracy in data tracking and record-keeping
• Develop long-term production blend plans which identify the timeline for procurement and delivery of GPC raw material shipments to enable production of in-specification CPC product to meet agreed customer CPC delivery schedules.
• Evaluate Green Pet Coke (GPC) sourcing options considering various business scenarios and provide recommendations to minimize raw material costs whilst still achieving all CPC quality requirements and specifications.
• Build / Expand business models based on business requirements with the help of AI enabled tools and analyze the data for better raw material blending mix and cost optimization. Maintain advanced LP modules for planning, economic evaluation and predictive calculation
• Consider logistics costs for raw material and finished product handling as an input to determining optimum (lowest cost) outcomes.
• Integrate CPC movements and CPC blending between Rain Carbon’s USA and India operations.

• Regularly interact with Commercial, Production, and Technical Service Department counterparts within Rain Carbon’s global organization, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.

• Work closely with operations team to align production control with daily and long-term production goals.
• Participate in the development of tools to improve petcoke blending capabilities and support long-term strategies

• Assist the centralize production planning functions in India to leverage the lower-cost business environment, including daily SAP transaction activity.
• Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators to track the effectiveness and efficiency of the Production Blend Planning process in the US and India.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5-8 years of similar planning/blending experience with proficiency in Linear Programming modeling. Strong understanding of calcination/metallurgical plant flow and key unit interactions
• Candidate preferably should have work experience in carbon/metallurgical industries.
• Strong finance and analytical skills with a strong intuition for numbers
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel with an ability develop models/tools by using AI options and data analysis
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment with an ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
