General Manager – Artificial Intelligence & Digital Transformation

Description:

Rain Industries (RAIN), a multinational, Fortune India 500 manufacturing company, and one of the leading companies in Hyderabad, is looking for a General Manager of AI & Digital Transformation (GM – AI & DT) who will analyse, formulate, and implement a robust, futuristic digital strategy aligned to our business goals worldwide.

As the primary owner of our organisation’s AI and digital programs, you will modernise processes and drive innovation through technology, helping address the obstacles to achieving our strategic priorities. By jumpstarting a value-driven transformation, you will help deliver productivity improvements across the global organisation, helping to chart our course towards greater success.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse RAIN’s global manufacturing and business processes, including Operations Technology (OT), Information Technology (IT), workflows, and organisational structures. Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritise activities best suited for digital transformation.
• Design and lead a strategic, cohesive, cross-functional digital transformation program for IT and OT, leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), big data and analytics, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
• Oversee the deployment of digital technologies across business verticals, working closely with relevant departments.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on plans, progress, and key insights.
• Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to recommend improvements and adjustments, ensuring solutions enhance RAIN’s business performance.
• Build and nurture a best-in-class “digital & AI native” team of highly skilled professionals.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that embraces Industry 4.0 principles across all levels of the organisation.
• Manage the budget for RAIN’s global digital and AI initiatives within the IT department, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and strong returns on digital investments.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record as an AI and DT leader, or in a comparable role within a large, multinational, industrial organisation.
• Deep expertise in implementing smart technologies, including AI, ML, big data and analytics, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
• Working knowledge of software engineering and development (Python, Java, C++, etc.), relational databases and SQL, data structures, algorithms, and other relevant technical skills.
• Strong passion for data-driven thinking, effective reporting, and visualisation.
• Solid foundation in business administration, corporate strategy, and change management.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Awareness of industry-wide technology trends and global best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global technical, industrial, and business teams.
• Demonstrated project management expertise, with the ability to deliver results promptly and collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
