Purpose of the job

  • To work in shifts as field operator / Pump house operator at sea water pump house located at Vizag port.

 

Duties & Responsibilities (Description of the tasks)
  • To start/stop and operate seawater pumps in a safe way as per the instructions of control room engineer.
  • To start DG set in case of Port power failure and change over power supply when Port power supply resumes.
  • To maintain stock of diesel, priming water in storage tank.
  • To notice all problems/ deficiencies related to seawater pumps and inform control room Engineer.
  • Ensuring the house keeping of seawater pump house.
  • Maintaining field log-sheet
  • Follow all relevant SOP’s /Work Instructions in the plant.
  • Must follow all the safety regulations of the plant.
  • Must be good communication.

 

Job requirements (Educational qualification, work experience, required technical & functional skills)
  • Qualifications required: ITI – Fitter/Mechanic/Electrical.
  • Work experience should be around 3~5 years in any industry
  • On hands experience in operating centrifugal pumps, Vacuum pumps, Diesel Engines of any pump house.
  • Must be able to ensure safety of the individual and personal along with him.
