Job Description (Key Accountabilities & Measures)
  • Manage Quality Control lab operation of Indian location. Ensure continued and smooth operation of the labs Quality Assurance.
  • Drive R&D initiatives with a view to developing new raw material sources and cost optimization.
  • Required to have a vision on how to improve quality control measures and R&D efforts. Ability to lead the team and other members implement the vision.
  • The ability to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to make sure customer’s specs are maintained. 
  • Continuously upgrade capabilities to match international standards
  • Evaluate customer requirements and review how best to achieve it.
  • Provide technical support to all the customers of Indian operation.
  • Manage customer technical relationships and address any quality/technical issues raised by customer
  • Periodic visits to customer locations to assess Rain product quality impact on customer production processes, performance and new requirements.
  • Effective review of customer complaints and resolution to address them with the aim of achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Support production process to enable smooth operations to achieve desired quality of final product. Organize periodical review with the production team on process control and improvements to minimize process variations and upgrade product quality.
  • Test different operational parameters at lab scale to review the differences in quality of the product.

  • Thorough knowledge and active involvement in ISO systems and NABL accreditation.

 

Experience:
  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in Process Control, Quality Assurance and Lab operations.
  • Required to have experience in an Aluminum Smelter or a Carbon industry.

 

Educational Qualifications:

M. Sc. Chemistry or

B. Tech / M. Tech (Chemical Engineering)
