Purpose of the job

  • To work in the team of Production Dept. for Production activities in Co-generation plant

 

Duties & Responsibilities (Description of the tasks)

  • Responsible for the duties of Jr. Engineer/Boiler field Operations-Cogen Plant and work in shifts.
  • Operation of Waste heat recovery boilers, Turbo generator and its auxiliaries, Auxiliary boiler and other areas related to cogeneration plant.
  • Responsible for safe operation of the plant to achieve targeted production, responsible for safe startup, shutdown and emergency operations of the plant.
  • Coordinate with all maintenance agencies to get related problems rectified with clearance from shift in charge.
  • Follow all Work Instructions/SOP’S and Safety procedures laid down in the plant.

 

Job requirements (Educational qualification, work experience, required technical &functional skills)

  • Qualifications required: Diploma in Mech.engineering possessing 1st/2nd class Boiler attendant certificate.
  • Work experience should be around 4~5 years in Operations dept. of any Thermal Power Plant in the capacity of 50~100 MW plant, with experience as Field operator.
  • On hands experience in operating of high pressure boilers with pressure rating of around 65 Kg/cm2 and temperatures around 485 deg.C
  • Operation of Turbine generator, Boiler feed water pumps, circulating water pumps, air compressors, cooling towers and other auxiliaries related to thermal power plant.
  • Knowledge in industrial safety practices.
  • Knowledge in ISO systems.
