Purpose of the job (Major objectives & fundamental reasons for existence of the position)
  • To head Calcination Production department to achieve targeted production through safe and reliable operation of Kilns.

 

Duties & Responsibilities (Description of the tasks)
  • Responsible for all production related technical and administrative functions in

     the coke calciner.

  • Providing necessary guidance and training for all the staff members for safe &

     reliable plant operation.

  • Maintaining inventory of raw materials and various input materials viz.,

     LSHS Oil, DD Oil, Hydrated Lime etc.

  • Maintaining all the records of finished product and consumption of various input

     material.

  • Production planning based on input data from QC.
  • Ensuring on job training of all the Calcination production staff.
  • Supervision of refractory application and stocks.
  • Review quality objectives & do risk assessment for related processes.
  • To act as site incident controller in Calcination plant during any emergency situation and coordinate with site main controller for safe handling of the emergency.
  • To fulfill the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015, review HIRA & EAR.
  • Creating the awareness among the team members regarding identification of unsafe act, unsafe condition, safety violations and ensure to record and take up with respective dept and to attend the same on top priority.
  • Objective planning and achievements for QMS & SHEMS.

 

 

Job requirements (Educational qualification, work experience, required technical &functional skills)
  • B Tech Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Shall have minimum 20 years of experience in Kiln operation either in a Cement unit or at Calciner of which at least 5 years should be above Manager’s position.
  • Shall have thorough knowledge of refractory bricks, castable, their installation and improvement
  • Shall be familiar with SAP Production, Maintenance and Material modules
  • Good exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is preferred
  • Shall have exposure to trouble shootings related to Kilns, coolers, incinerator and other mechanical equipment. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation related problems is preferred.
  • Shall have good knowledge of Flue gas desulphurization systems and environment requirements.
  • Shall have good Knowledge of Industrial safety best practices.
