Purpose of the job

  • As per statutory requirement, any tube leaks in high pressure boilers shall be attended by an IBR welder only. Hence, an IBR welder available in house will be useful for Statutory and all other welding jobs also. This reduces hiring different IBR welders at odd hours from external agencies as and when required.

 

Duties & Responsibilities (Description of the tasks)
  • Carry out all IBR related welding works in the plant like boilers tube leakages etc.
  • Carry out all other welding works including Arc and TIG welding’s.
  • Carry out general maintenance works as and when required when there are no welding works.

 

 

Job requirements (Educational qualification, work experience, required technical &functional skills)
  • Should have ITI welder certificate.
  • Should have qualified IBR Boiler Welder’s Certificate with validity in AP state.
  • Should have experience in Boilers manufacturing or repairing divisions for about 4 ~ 5 years.
  • Should demonstrate welding skill to the satisfaction of HOD concerned before selection for the job.
  • Should have experience in general maintenance of plant works preferable in Power plants.
  • Should have thorough knowledge in welding works and related jobs like stress relieving and Radiography etc.
