Job Overview : To plan, supervise, and execute civil and structural works for high-quality construction of major foundations, PEB structures, heavy industrial buildings, and critical load-bearing systems in compliance with engineering standards, safety norms, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Civil & Structural Execution (Foundations & Mass Concrete)
- Supervise and manage execution of heavy industrial foundations, including large RCC foundations, pedestal foundations, and equipment bases, x.
- Lead mass concrete works, ensuring proper batching, placement, compaction, and curing practices.
- Review and verify foundation design parameters: dimensions, load capacity, reinforcement details, and alignment.
- Monitor concrete quality, slump, pouring methods, and curing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to approved drawings, design loads, and technical standards, including relevant IS codes.
2. Civil & Structural Execution
- Lead execution of civil and structural works for the project, including major foundations for Steel Structures like Distillation Columns/Reactors, pipe racks, construction Buildings, Effluent Treatment Plants, PEB sheds, Large capacity of tanks, columns, equipment, conveyors, and other heavy industrial structures.
- Oversee construction of PEB sheds and industrial buildings.
- Supervise civil works for tank foundations, RCC structures, pedestals, equipment bases, and other load-bearing elements.
- Manage mass concrete works, including deep foundations, machine foundations, raft foundations, retaining walls, and silo foundations.
- Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings, design loads, and technical specifications.
3. Project Planning & Coordination
- Prepare and track work schedules, resource plans, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants ,contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progress.
- Support interfaces with mechanical, electrical, and process teams regarding foundation load data and construction feasibility.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC protocols for concrete, reinforcement, steel, and structural erection.
- Conduct inspections for shuttering, reinforcement, anchor bolts, embedments, and concrete pouring activities.
- Verify designs, technical drawings, and vendor/contractor submissions related to foundations and structural works.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, RAIN engineering standards, and consultant design criteria.
5. Safety & Site Management
- Enforce safety practices at all construction locations, especially around heavy equipment, structures, and elevated works.
- Ensure compliance with work permit systems, method statements, and risk assessment procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, monitor safe practices, and report unsafe acts or conditions.
6. Technical Support
- Review foundation load data and coordinate with consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Provide engineering solutions for site challenges such as soil conditions, deep excavations, dewatering, and foundation levelling.
- Support geotechnical coordination, DGPS levels, and verification of site grading.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), QA/QC checklists, inspection reports, and site logs.
- Verify contractor measurements and assist in RA bill certification.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and stakeholder review.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of RCC and steel structure design basics.
- Expertise in foundation execution for heavy equipment and PEB systems.
- Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project/Excel, and surveying instruments.
- Knowledge of load calculations, anchor bolt layouts, and structural stability requirements.

Qualification : Diploma / B.Tech Civil Engineering / M. Tech – Structural Eng.
Experience : 5 - 8 Yrs.( years in industrial construction projects, Steel Structures like Distillation Columns/Reactors, pipe racks, construction Buildings, Effluent Treatment Plants, including major foundations, PEB sheds, heavy structures, kilns or furnace building civil works, and large industrial project execution.)
