Job Overview                 : This position is responsible for preparing, updating and maintaining  

                                              engineering drawings, layouts, project drawings and technical  

                                              documentation required for the SEZ Unit plant and project activities.

    Key Responsibilities Areas:

1. Prepare and revise mechanical, civil, structural, E & I and plant layout drawings as per project and site requirements.
2. Develop AutoCAD drawings, general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, equipment layout drawings, piping layout drawings and as-built drawings.
3. Update plant drawings based on modifications, site measurements, project changes and inputs received from Plant & Projects team.
4. Convert all the Physical Form Drawings to soft form and preserve them.
5. Assist engineers in preparing drawings for new projects, modification jobs, shutdown works, maintenance support works and capex proposals.
6. Carry out site visits for measurement verification, drawing preparation, technical clarification and incorporation of field changes.
7. Maintain proper drawing records, revision history, soft copies and hard copies in a systematic manner for future reference and audits.
8. Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Process, Safety and Operations departments for accurate preparation and updating of drawings.
9. Ensure all drawings are prepared as per approved standards, project specifications, safety requirements and applicable statutory/SEZ guidelines.
10. Support preparation of BOQ, material take-off, estimation inputs and technical documents wherever required for project execution.
11. Prepare sketches, layouts and presentation drawings for management review, vendor discussions and internal approvals.
12. Follow document control practices by ensuring latest approved drawings are issued to the concerned departments/vendors and obsolete drawings are withdrawn.
13. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of plant layouts, project drawings and technical information.
14. Participate actively in safety meetings, project review meetings, audits, site inspections and other activities relevant to the job role.

Technical Skills:

1. Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
2. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
3. Industry Standards: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material specifications, engineering documentation practices, drawing revision control, and applicable standard compliance regulations relevant to plant and project activities.

    Qualification                                  : Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Draftsmanship with

        AutoCAD Knowledge or a certificate in Draftsmanship

Experience                                    : 7 - 10 Yrs. experience in drafting work preferably in

       manufacturing / process industry / project environment.
