Job Title                                 : Asst. Engineer / Dy. Engineer

Reports to                              : Manager – Elect.

Job Overview                   : This position is responsible to supervise work execution (Erection, Commissioning and any modification) on site during project and later for maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical to enhance operation and improve total equipment reliability                  

Key Responsibilities Areas :

1. Prepare and maintain daily work reports and ensure accurate documentation of equipment history records.
2. Develop and implement procedures for projects, maintenance, and shutdown activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and organizational guidelines.
3. Identify and implement improvement projects in Electrical Engineering to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
4. Inspect inward electrical materials for compliance with technical specifications as per purchase orders and coordinate issuance from stores.
5. Provide technical guidance during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for equipment breakdowns; perform root cause analysis and implement solutions.
6. Ensure accurate data capture of electrical maintenance activities for integration into SAP and support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
7. Actively participate in meetings, safety campaigns, and ensure strict adherence to plant operational safety standards, including lockout/tagout and emergency protocols.
8. Maintain a valid 11KV & 33KV supervisory license and possess hands-on experience with IMCC Panels, PLC & HMI systems, VFDs, and EDG systems.
9. Demonstrate strong knowledge of protection systems for generators, transformers, VCBs, ACBs, and maintenance of power plant equipment including 132KV switchyard systems.
10. Monitor and optimize energy consumption and power distribution to improve efficiency, ensure compliance with ISO standards, statutory regulations, and internal audits.
11. Implement and sustain the 5S system (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to promote workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.

Qualification                          : Diploma / B. Tech (Electrical & Electronics)

  M.Tech in Power Electronics

Experience                             : 04 to 08 Yrs.
