Job Overview                   :         The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment through effective planning, execution, and monitoring of maintenance activities. The role involves supervising preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks; troubleshooting equipment issues; coordinating with cross‑functional teams; and implementing improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability. The position ensures compliance with safety standards, optimizes maintenance practices, and supports uninterrupted plant operations.

 

                                                             

Key Responsibilities Areas :

 

  • Possess strong technical knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of material handling equipment including belt conveyors, crushers, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, vibrating screens, and Samson feeders.
  • Develop and implement procedures, work instructions, and guidelines for Maintenance, and shutdown activities in accordance with safety standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, propose, and implement mechanical engineering improvements to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Act as the contract holder, ensuring contractors and suppliers adhere to company procedures, policies, standards, and project/maintenance requirements.
  • Enter accurate maintenance activity data in SAP and support the maintenance engineer in scheduling, documentation, and compiling maintenance histories.
  • Provide technical expertise during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and breakdown analysis. Identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions to restore equipment performance.
  • Actively participate in meetings, campaigns, discussions, and other job-related activities to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify signs of deterioration, and recommend repair, replacement, or improvement measures.
  • Coordinate with production and electrical teams to plan maintenance activities with minimal operational disruptions.
  • Lead and supervise technicians and fitters to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive activities.
  • Continuously review mechanical systems to identify opportunities for performance enhancement or equipment upgrades.

 

Qualification                          : Diploma / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering

 

Experience                             : 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance / Project Engineering in an industrial environment
