Responsible for coordinating all aspects of instrumentation requirements for field maintenance and projects. The instrumentation technologist provides solutions to technical problems and is responsible for job planning and maintaining the highest level of quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Repair, overhaul, maintain, configure, select, and install instrumentation and control equipment such as field transmitters, control valves, analyzers, control system components, indicators etc.
•    Troubleshoot plantwide issues related to instrumentation, DCS/PLC, and basic electrical control circuits.
•    Install, test, and commission new equipment.
•    Create/review procedures for overhaul/calibration of instrumentation & control system equipment
•    Execute instrumentation PM’s as per schedule and maintain equipment history in SAP. 
•    Interact with manufacturers' personnel to resolve equipment problems, i.e. technical support, design defect, warranties, deliveries etc.
•    Comply with the requirements of the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
•    Maintain a safe and organized work area.
•    Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job requirements:


•    Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology is preferred.
•    5-10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
•    Fresh graduates with past industrial training/experience will also be considered.
•    Familiarity in the use of Computerized Management Systems (SAP) is considered an asset.
•    DCS knowledge of ABB will be an advantage.
•    Microsoft Office.
•    Good communication and organizational skills.
•    Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
•    Instrumentation: 4 years (Required)
